50 Men Who Cook is an annual fundraiser presented by KishHealth System to benefit the children of DeKalb County. Prominent men from DeKalb County will once again be cooking their favorite dishes for you to enjoy including appetizers, salads, side dishes, entrees and desserts. The evening will include dinner (sampling of all dishes), cash bar, entertainment and a silent auction.

All proceeds from this unique event benefit CASA DeKalb County and Family Service Agency of DeKalb County. This year's event will be held on Saturday, August 11th from 6-9pm at the Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center on the campus of Northern Illinois University.

CASA DeKalb County, Inc. (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is a non-profit organization which trains local citizens as volunteer child advocates. These advocates are appointed by the DeKalb County Juvenile Court in cases involving children who have been abused or neglected by their parent or guardian.

The CASA volunteers are responsible for gathering information about a child's case and advocating in court for the best interests of these children. CASA DeKalb County Inc. currently has 67 advocates who are representing 194 DeKalb County children.

Family Service Agency of DeKalb County Inc. is a premier social service agency, providing support to individuals and families throughout the lifecycle.

Family Service Agency is comprised of four distinct departments: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Center for Counseling, Children's Advocacy Center and Senior Services. A host of programs are available through these departments, and experienced and expert professionals provide all services.
